HireRight BBB Rating Improves from "CCC" to "B": It's Still Not Good Enough
May 15, 2008 HireRight of Irvine, California is Metro's administration's choice for conducting investigations on college employees. The MSFF is trying to find out why this particular company was chosen to do so and to see what other competitive bids were received. In the meantime, we thought it only fair to clarify that HireRight's rating with the Southern California Better Business Bureau improved slightly since we last reported on it on March, 31. The company's rating has gone from a "CCC" to a "B." We are unable to ascertain at this point why HireRight's status changed. However, HireRight's current score is the lowest in the "B" range. Surely, if a third party vendor is needed to conduct background checks, there must be a company out there that scores in the "A" range. And, there's still the pesky matter that HireRight can maintain your data in their files ad infinitum. The Better Business Bureau uses the following scale to rate companies: AAA AA A BBB BB B CCC CC C D F |
